We have been at Silver Lining Stables for a few years now and we can't say enough about what a great place it is. Our horse has changed so much because of Erin's care. There is all day turnout here, not just a few hours a day. He is a young OTTB and what kid wouldn't want to be outside all day! He has friends in turnout which he didn't have at our old place, so it's playtime all day with them! The turnouts are kept clean with fresh water even in the winter. Erin provides as much hay as needed with specialized grain set for your horse. Since we have moved him here with the all-day turnout and the change in grain, he hasn't been lame or had any hoof problems like our old place. He is just plain happy. She even does his laundry! As for her barn, it's big and beautiful. Stalls are large, clean, bright and dry. Hot water is provided in both wash stalls even in the winter. She even has special footing (travel lite footing) in the indoor arena. The best for us is, even though she has barn hours, you can come and ride anytime 7 days a week. We just text her we will be up late so she know who is in the barn. She also brings in people to run amazing clinics! You can participate or just observe. No pressure. My daughter and I love Silver Lining Stables, it's quiet, friendly and so relaxing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for board.

At Silver Lining Stables, Erin Gordon has developed her childhood dream of owning and managing a stable where horses and their people can learn and grow happily together. In doing so, she has allowed others, like me, to live their equestrian dreams. I arrived, 12 years ago, with very little horse knowledge and a rescue horse, Simon, who had been neglected for years. Erin built back his strength and majesty, while patiently teaching me about horsemanship.When he retired, Erin helped me find the perfect horse, Finbar, for my riding level. We have grown together because of her skills, training and teaching as well as her understanding of all things horse and human. I could not ask for a better stable owner, trainer, and friend. She makes being at the barn, everyone’s “happy place” (including the horses!)

I've been boarding at Silver Lining Stables for 11 years and I can't overstate how exceptional my experience has been. From helping me ship my mare from Missouri to guiding us through a diagnosis of Cushing's and laminitis, to helping us lay her gently to rest with love and dignity when the time came-Erin has gone above and beyond on a regular basis. My new mare can be sensitive and Erin and her team are so patient and kind, I have 100 percent confidence she is receiving the very best care every day-even if that means going outside of a normal process to make things less stressful for her. Silver Lining Stables feels like a second home to me and we feel like we are part of a special community of riders, and this is all due to Erin and her wonderful staff.
